This spring, CFNI’s Alumni Department launched its very first Alumni Missions Outreach, sending a team of 10 alumni to Alaska from March 10–24. Led by staff leader Adam Bostic alongside alumni leaders Chloe and Alyssa, the team traveled across Anchorage, Minto, and Hope—partnering with local churches, including Unite Church led by alumnus Zack Neese, and connecting with Rob and Ticee Graham at YWAM Denali. Over 14 days, they hosted worship nights, widows’ outreaches, women’s gatherings, youth services, prayer walks, and building projects—serving communities where both physical and spiritual needs are real and visible.
Alaska is breathtaking, but behind the beauty are communities facing isolation, hardship, addiction, and generational struggles. Yet what the team witnessed was clear: when Jesus enters the room, everything begins to shift. One defining moment came in Seward, where the team ministered at Seward City Church. As the message of Acts 1:8 was shared —“You shall receive power… and you shall be witnesses…”— people responded immediately. Many came forward in tears, encountering God in a personal way. A second altar call followed, and again, people came. There was a tangible sense that God was still moving. In that moment, confidence grew, boldness increased, and purpose became clearer for those being ministered to and for the team stepping out in faith.
In Minto and Hope, the team came alongside faithful believers serving in remote and often overlooked communities. Rather than trying to fix, they strengthened what God was already doing—encouraging leaders, pouring into youth, and showing up with consistency and care. Breakthrough came in simple but powerful ways: people opening up, receiving prayer, and reconnecting with hope. Just as impactful was what God did within the team. This was not a spectator trip — it was activation! Team members who once felt unsure began praying boldly, sharing their testimonies, and leading ministry moments with confidence.
This outreach is not just about reaching Alaska — it is about raising up laborers. When people stop waiting to feel ready and step out in faith, God meets them there. Because of your prayers and generosity, these moments are happening — lives are being touched, faith is being strengthened, and the Gospel is moving forward. You are part of this story, and we are not done yet.
